Chapter 18
AS SOON AS SHAWNA WALKED to the road, ready to go back to her shelter, a large army appeared. Tanks rumbled along the road and cars that were marked with the emblem of the king.
Shawna stopped and blinked, watching the guards climb out of the car, ready for battle.
Hanzel climbed out of one of the front cars, dressed in battle armor. When his eyes fell on Shawna, he frowned. Despite her anger toward the Prince, Shawna had to admit that he looked incredibly handsome. His battle armor was white, and it complemented his white hair perfectly, making his violet eyes stand out even more. He had a g*n strapped to his side, and the scowl on his face—at least, that was what he’d had until he saw her.
