I pushed hard against Jake’s chest, my heart hammering. “Let me go!” He didn’t move. His body blocked the door completely. Panic rose in my throat. I slapped him hard across the face. The sound echoed in the small restroom. “Get out of my way!” I hissed. I turned toward the door, hand reaching for the lock. I just needed to get out. Back to Ryan and tell him everything. Jake’s voice stopped me cold. “I know what you’ve been doing with your trainer, Marcus.” My hand froze on the doorknob. The air left my lungs. I turned around slowly, staring at him. “What… what are you talking about?” I asked, trying to sound confused. “What kind of false allegations are you making?” Jake smiled, but it wasn’t a nice smile. “You don’t have to pretend, Bella. I saw everything.” My knees felt weak.
