Ryder's expression turned grim. "What are you talking about, Victor?" he asked.
Victor leaned forward, his eyes locked on Ryder's. "I'm talking about your sister, Ryder," he said. "I'm talking about Sophia."
Arianna felt a surge of shock at Victor's words. Ryder's sister? What did Victor have to do with her?
As she looked at Ryder, Arianna saw a flash of pain in his eyes. What was going on?
But before she could ask any questions, Victor stood up and turned to leave. "I'll be in touch, Ryder," he said. "And next time, I won't be so polite."
As Victor walked out of the cafe, Arianna felt a sense of unease. What had just happened? And what did Victor want with Ryder's sister?
As she turned to Ryder, Arianna saw that he was staring out the window, his eyes fixed on Victor's retreating back.
"Ryder, what's going on?" Arianna asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Ryder turned to her, his eyes filled with pain. "It's a long story, Arianna," he said. "But I'll tell you one thing. Victor is not a man to be trusted."
Arianna nodded, her mind racing with questions. What did Victor want with Ryder's sister? And what did Ryder have to do with it?
As they left the cafe and walked back to the boat, Arianna felt a sense of unease. She was trapped in a web of secrets and lies, and she didn't know how to escape.
But with Ryder by her side, Arianna knew that she could face whatever lay ahead.
And as they sped away from the shore, Arianna felt a sense of determination wash over her.
She would uncover the truth, no matter what it took.
And she would fight to the end to protect herself and those she loved
Arianna couldn't shake off the feeling that Ryder was hiding something from her. She had seen the pain in his eyes when Victor mentioned his sister, and she knew that there was more to the story.
As they sped through the water, Arianna turned to Ryder with a determined look on her face. "Tell me the truth, Ryder," she said. "What's going on with Victor and your sister?"
Ryder's expression turned grim, and he hesitated for a moment before speaking. "Sophia is my younger sister," he said. "She's been missing for months, and I've been searching for her everywhere."
Arianna's eyes widened in shock. "Missing?" she repeated. "What happened to her?"
Ryder's jaw clenched in anger. "Victor happened to her," he said. "He's been using her as leverage to get to me."
Arianna felt a surge of outrage on Ryder's behalf. "Why?" she demanded. "What does Victor want from you?"
Ryder's eyes locked on hers, and Arianna saw a flash of determination in them. "Victor wants me to do his dirty work," Ryder said. "He wants me to use my skills to help him take down his enemies."
Arianna's mind was racing with questions. What skills did Ryder have? And what kind of enemies was Victor talking about?
But before she could ask any questions, Ryder continued speaking. "I've been trying to find a way to get Sophia back," he said. "But Victor's been one step ahead of me every time."
Arianna felt a pang of sympathy for Ryder. She knew what it was like to be trapped in a situation that seemed impossible to escape.
But as she looked at Ryder, Arianna saw a glimmer of hope in his eyes. He was determined to save his sister, no matter what it took.
And Arianna knew that she was determined to help him.
As they sped through the water, Arianna felt a sense of purpose that she hadn't felt in weeks. She was finally doing something that mattered, something that could make a difference.
And with Ryder by her side, Arianna knew that she could face whatever lay ahead.
But as they approached the shore, Arianna saw something that made her heart skip a beat. A group of men, standing on the beach, watching them.
And Arianna knew that they were in trouble.
"Ryder, look!" she exclaimed, pointing to the men on the beach.
Ryder's eyes narrowed as he took in the scene. "Get down, Arianna," he said, pushing her down behind the console.
Arianna felt a surge of fear as Ryder started to maneuver the boat, trying to get them out of there as quickly as possible.
But as they sped away from the shore, Arianna knew that they weren't safe yet. They were being pursued, and Arianna had no idea what would happen next.
All she knew was that she had to trust Ryder, had to trust that he would keep her safe.
matter what it took.
As they sped through the water, Arianna felt a sense of exhilaration wash over her. She was finally doing something, finally taking action.
She would survive.
But as they approached a small island in the distance, Arianna's excitement began to fade. What were they doing here?
Ryder seemed to sense her unease, and he turned to her with a reassuring smile. "Don't worry, Arianna," he said. "This is just a quick stop. We need to refuel and regroup."
Arianna nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. She was glad that Ryder had a plan, glad that he knew what he was doing.
As they docked the boat and stepped onto the island, Arianna felt a sense of unease. The island was deserted, with no signs of life anywhere.
But Ryder seemed to know exactly where he was going, leading her to a small hut in the center of the island.
Inside the hut, Arianna found a small cache of supplies, including food, water, and medical equipment.
Ryder smiled, seeing her surprise. "I've been preparing for this moment for a long time," he said. "I knew that eventually, I'd have to go on the run."
Arianna felt a surge of admiration for Ryder's preparedness. He was a man who thought ahead, a man who was always ready for anything.
