"I am here to see Enoch Stanton. Tell him it's Julie Ping, his wife's best friend," I said, and the secretary gave me a one-over, a scoff escaping her lips as she focused back on what she was doing.
"You'll need an appointment to see Mr Stanton. He's a very busy man and won't appreciate me disturbing his work just because someone like you wants to see him"
