The board meeting went as planned and Delia stepped down for me to take over just like she said she would. I could tell that the smile on her face throughout the process was fake, though, and I wondered just how long she was going to keep up the charade.
Everyone was happy to see me back, but there were so many problems the company was facing that after the reappointment, we all got together to deliberate on how to move the business forward.
