The woman, Romeá, led us on what felt like a wild goose chase through the thick of the forest. We walked for at least half an hour, the village and the party were long behind us. The roars of the male wolves and the constant howling rang through the trees until we were too far away to hear them. Whatever this girl did, it clearly had a lasting effect. I have heard of a few other daughters through our history that had similar effects on the male population, but nowhere near to this extent. This kind of reaction is off the charts.
