Warmth twisted in my stomach. A deep ache and a sheen of sweat quickly covered my body. Travis leaned forward, my fingers still grasped tightly in his. I thought he was going to bow but instead, he pressed his moist lips to the back of my hand. The feel of his lips and a small fleck of saliva as it touched my flesh, burned against my skin. My stomach tightened and I nearly doubled over in pain. I tried to rip my hand from Travis’s, but he wouldn’t let go. I looked up at his face and his eyes had turned dark and his lips curled back. His tongue dipped from his mouth and moved over the back of my knuckles. A low growl slowly bubbled through his clenched teeth, getting louder, until it rolled all around us.
