CHAPTER 5 ROYAL WELCOME.

Ben finally got over the shock, he had mixed emotions about everything, especially the part of now literally being told he was to be the new Princesses bestie. Ben knew that this position was both a blessing and curse, he had figured out on this short trip his new princess was going to be a hand full. Ben also feared that the Prince may just rip his head off because the Princess insisted that he be in close proximity to her and Ben was unmated. 

All of these things combined made for a very tense plane ride for everyone, with the exception of the Princess she talked to Ben the whole trip completely ignoring her Mate she was totally unaffected. 

Kassy being Kassy insisted that Ben sat with her, he never really spoke a lot but answered questions when she asked and he responded to her conversation proving he was listening. Wade just sat there glaring at the two of them, no longer interested in his phone.

"Wade stop glaring, you are acting like a 5 year old having a tantrum, just settle petal" Kassy said grinning as she finally broke the silence.

" Are you fucken kidding me Kassy, You are going out of your way to flirt with Ben in front of me, an unmated wolf at that, how the F U C K am I suppose to calm down" Wade seethed as he gritted his teeth

Kassy looked Wade in the eye and replied in a very cold manner "I have no issue that you have a chosen mate named Cilla, who you love waiting for you back at the Palace, do you see me glaring? No you bloody don't, and ass wipe I am not flirting with Ben we are friends " 

Wade was shocked, how could she possibly know. Wade looked at Ben, Ben put his hands up saying to Wade non verbally it wasn't me. Kassy noticed.

 "Wade It wasn't Ben you forget I can read minds, the minute we jumped in the car to leave my home you opened your mind to me and boom, there was Cilla, FYI my mother knows but the rest of my family do not, if they did Kami would have made good on her promise".

Wade had hoped that he would get some time to try and sort something out, he realized he was stupid for underestimating his Mate, for a brief moment he forgot who he was mated to.

The rest of the flight was a lot more comfortable, Kassy was quietly playing her guitar humming away, both Wade and Ben were in awe of how talented she was, but not surprised.

They landed and were quickly ushered to the vehicles waiting to drive them back to the palace. Kassy stayed silent preparing herself for what would be waiting for her, she knew that Cilla would probably be the first person they saw.

The Cars pulled up outside the Palace entrance, Ben excused himself and both she and Wade made there way into the palace, The staff bowed as they entered, Kassy hated that. They were escorted into the throne room and before they had even taken 2 steps into the throne room a leggy blonde she wolf ran to Wade jumped up on him, wrapped her arms and legs around him then kissed him passionately, Kassy's chest tightened a tad it felt more like a mild case of heartburn, once again she thanked the Moon Goddess for her genes any other wolf would have crumbled in pain.

Kassy ignored the scene to the left of her and ran towards the King, he stood up from his throne and walked towards her "Button get in these arms squirt" the king excitedly said. Kassy flew at him and embraced him, she had missed this man who she had been taught to call Uncle Damien behind closed doors. King Damien and her parents had become family and Damien always showered Kassy and her siblings with love and attention, outside of his queens and his own children, Leah and her tribe of kids were who he respected and loved the most. 

"Button maybe you should try Dad on for size, I mean after all you are now Wades mate" King Damien said still holding her tightly. Kassy stepped back a little "Too soon uncle, too soon and as for the whole mate thing I am not going to lie, I am actively looking for a way out that doesn't involve the R word" she replied giggling.

 "Where is my son any way button" he asked as his attention had solely been on Kassy and had missed the action happening in the entrance way.

"He is still at the door way greeting Cilla if you know what I mean" Kassy replied wiggling her eyes at him making him laugh.

He stopped abruptly and began to check Kassy like she was hurt, his eyes full of concern "Button why are you not in pain sweetheart" 

"Good genes uncle it's kind of like a mild case of heart burn for me, and if you have not noticed I still carry my own scent, we have not mated nor am I marked so please don't worry uncle I am fine". 

"Lets worry about all that later where are my beautiful aunts?" Kassy asked 

On queue, Queens, Bree, Leela and her personal favorite Tahlia entered the room arms opened squealing with excitement at Kassy's arrival, Kassy ran to them she hugged them, The queens stepped back to admire Kassy, 

"Look at you button you are as breath taking as your mother, although we have to get you into girl clothes, yours do nothing for your figure" Queen Tahlia said the other two agreed whilst smiling at her.

"Nothing has changed then, my Queens enter a room and I am forgotten" King Damien said Jokingly 

"Uncle you need to work on your Jokes, you been using that one since I was 4" Kassy retorted cheekily 

The Queens giggled "Just as Sassy as your mother, I see" The King replied smirking.

"How about we have Mei escort you to Wades wing you can freshen up then we can eat and catch up" Queen Bree suggested 

"Or how about I stay in the Harem with Wades other girls, so no one knows I am his mate" Kassy asked smiling hoping they would allow it.

"Button your parents would blow up our kingdom if I allowed that, how about you stay in my suite with  me" Queen Tahlia suggested.

"Deal, besides I really don't want to be in the same space as Cilla and Wade if you know what I mean" 

All three queens looked at Kassy concerned

 "You don't have to worry as I have explained to Uncle, the Mate bond is different for me, I do not feel the pain most would" Kassy answered their unasked question

She saw the Queens relax a little, Tahlia then grabbed her by the hand taking her to her suite. Kassy walked into Tahlia's space and it felt like home.
