The house Jay rented was magnificent and luckily came fully furnished. It was one story, with a small front garden and a larger one at the back, has two garages.. One for his truck and obviously his motorbike and tools (Guess when I get a car I'll have to park outside.. eyeroll). Two bedrooms with built in cupboards big enough for a double bed and desk, both bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms with shower, bath and vanity. The house has a TV room, study, lounge, guest toilet and a huge modern kitchen with modern appliances with dining room table. The kitchen is by far my favourite. I do most of the cooking, I love to cook.

When I first got here I did some exploring to find my bearings. The bike shop Jay works at is five minute ride on his bike, little longer with his truck and my new school is a fifteen minute walk. I really enjoy walking so it didn't phase me much, maybe only if it rains he will need to drive me. The town centre was a twenty five minute walk from home and ten minute walk from school in the opposite direction of our house.

The town centre was very pretty and clean. I can see the towns people take good care of it. The centre has a small cinema, some clothing shops, vet, hospital, library, gym and a small coffee shop. The coffee shop makes the best cakes and coffee. I have already been there so often I think I have become the new regular.

I never really had friends where we used to live. I kept to myself and concentrated on my studies. I really want to get a scholarship to lesson Jay's burden, he has never said I am one not at all but I also want to help where I can. I wanted to study accounting and business management and those are hard degrees to do simultaneously. Needless to say I am a straight A student, it does help that I have a photographic memory but, I still study my ass off. I am leaving nothing to chance.

Hell, I've never even had a boyfriend, never so much has held a guys hand.. Pathetic I know I mean what seventeen year old hasnt held a guys hand, so embarrassing but getting that scholarship really has been my number one priority. I've been asked out alot, I'm not ugly if that's what you thinking I just declined the requests.

Maybe this year will be my year and I will be more social.. snort.. Yeah right.. I have a sharp tounge and tend to say things before thinking them through, Jay says I have no filter but I call it honesty. Also I'm not a girly girl. I like nice clothes and all but, instead of shopping and getting my hair and nails done I would rather help Jay fix s**t. I dont wear alot of make up and sure as s**t am not into frivolous things like the latest fashion and who is popular and who isn't.

Well Anyway... tonight for dinner I have decided to make rump steak, chips, salad and cheesecake for dessert. Jay started work today so I'm sure he will enjoy a good meal.

At six PM I hear Jay's bike pulling in, while he parks I dish our steak, chips and salad and place it on the table. I put our individually made cheesecakes and put them in front of our plates and then pull out two cans of soda. I sit and wait for him to enter.

He walks over and kisses me on the head "Hey Lex how was your day?" he sits down and starts to eat. " It was okay, little nervous for tomorrow but, I'm sure I'll be fine. How did your first day go?" "Very well. My boss Damien asked if I would join their Bike Club. It sounds awesome, I know they do other s**t but what got me is they help abused women and kids. You know me Lex if I can help I will. I will be pledging tomorrow so I might be late." "That's great. and worries. I'll put your food in the microwave for when you get back" I kissed his check and went to bed.
