The subway was busy as usual. Niki descended the stairs while taking off her helmet and tossed it at a homeless man. He caught it and yelled thank you. Unzipped her black jacket and handed it to a teenage girl walking by. The girl took the jacket and looked back at them with confusion.
“Take off your hat and coat.”
Killian obeyed. He tossed his hat into a trash bin and his coat got discarded to another homeless person sitting against the wall.
Niki walked by grabbing a baseball hat out of the bag of a passerby. She took a jacket lying in a suitcase from a traveler and handed it to Killian.
“Put it on.”
