I stand behind the doctor as she runs some tests on Calista. I bite my lip looking at the doctor anxiously. Is it just me, or do all doctors have a kind of face that is expressionless, you can never guess what’s on their mind, they are just too practical. Both in good and bad terms, doctors stiff their faces like they have no joy at all. Curiosity grew in my mind as the doctor places her hand on Calista’s stomach to feel her baby. I look at Calista and see how worried she is, I hold her hand, trying to make her feel better. Calista didn’t bleed between her legs so I think her baby will be fine. I hope so. I can feel the tension in the room as the doctor's expression remains neutral. She carefully places the earpiece of her stethoscope into her ear and presses it against Calista's stomac
