ZANE Having Tessa back felt so good, felt like I could breathe again. Even though she was still mad at me. Even if her silence was sharp and her eyes looked at me like I was a stranger she wished she had never met… she was here. And when she hugged me last night, something in my chest that had been locked for too damn long finally cracked open. Being in her arms felt even better than I could have ever imagined.
