TESSA I wiped my hands on the dish towel again checking the time for what had to be the hundredth time that day. The sun had already dipped low behind the trees, casting long, golden streaks across the windows, and still Zane hadn’t come home… he had been gone all day long. I needed help with the last shelf in the living room, the one we had agreed would hold the new picture of frames and some of the books I had I didn’t want boxed anymore.
