Every cold text, every message that disappeared… how could I have been so stupid to think that it was anyone else but him? The way he taunted me and how he made me doubt myself, all of it pointed to him. And now… now Zane thought that I was working with his brother and that cut deeper than anything Viktor could ever do.
Zane should know me better. I couldn’t believe that after everything we had been through and every scar we had shared, he could even imagine that I would betray him. I’ll rather die than side with Viktor… that disgusting bastard. But when I tried to explain to Zane, he wouldn’t even look at me.
