TESSA
It was finally over. And I won first place. Which was shocking considering I hadn't been around for the longest time. It was such a relief to know that I wasn't completely useless.
“I knew you'd win…” Zane chimed in when I got my award and headed back to where he was standing. People surrounded us, it was a new feeling but I got over it pretty quickly. It just got overwhelming before I knew it.
Zane sensed that I was starting to get uncomfortable with the flash of cameras, and the noise around so he took my mind. “Excuse us everyone. My wife isn't feeling too well.” And then we were out of there before I knew it.
Silence hit me in the car, even though the crowd followed us regardless. One look at me, Zane started the car and we were off.
