After listening to everything Damian said, I lowered my head and clenched my fists. I could feel my frustration growing.
So, that was his plan.
“I can’t believe Jacob would betray us like this,” he grumbled, his voice deep with enmity and disappointment.
“Damian, please calm down. I understand the way you’re feeling. I know it’s hard, but we’ll get her back,” I tried to console him.
He clenched his jaw. “This isn’t just about my sister. It’s about the betrayal itself. How could he do this to us? I trusted him with everything, including my sister’s safety. I entrusted my sister to him, and he repaid me by abducting her. How could he betray me and endanger Diana?”
