Laura’s Point of View.
I woke up to excruciating pain coursing through my body like pulses of electricity. I winced and opened my eyes little by little. I blinked twice, letting my vision improve.
My head spun with dizziness when I tried to get out of the bed. I couldn’t remember what I’d been doing, but my limbs ached like I’d taken a beating.
Scanning the space where I was, my eyebrows scrunched up. The room was spacious and elegant in appearance. Within a few minutes, the door opened.
I became alert when a good-looking man in a white shirt and jeans entered the room. He was accompanied by another handsome man and two beautiful women. One was obviously a doctor based on her outfit and the stethoscope around her neck.
“It’s good, and you’re awake.” The doctor spoke to me with a smile
