As the other half of the Alpha King of the Crimson Pack, it wasn’t uncommon for me to be gone for a few days at a time.
As I approached the pack house, I could feel the tension in the air. Damian and the rest of the pack must have been worried because I disappeared without a trace, and my unexpected return could only add to their worries.
However, if I didn’t return after being gone for several days, everyone would be even more concerned and suspect something was amiss. I knew they’d have questions, and I wasn’t sure how or where I’d start answering them and explaining everything.
