How Dan Stein’s Life Radically Changed for the Better
“Hello, this is Kowalski Carpet Cleaning,” Dan Stein greeted into the phone’s mouthpiece. He tried to keep his tone ever cheerful. He wanted to do a good job.
“My name is Al Santorini,” the caller snarled. His tone was clearly irate. “Your people cleaned my carpet but they didn’t do any kind of a job. I want my money back or them to come back here.”
“What is wrong with what they did, Mr. Santorini?” Don politely inquired.
“They didn’t get the smell out,” he crankily replied. “It still smells like cat urine! I can’t stand it!”
“All right, sir, how long ago were Kowalski Carpet Cleaners there?” Dan asked.
“Oh, I don’t know. It was a little while ago.”
“Was it less than a month ago?” Dan asked.
