❀ Amy ❀ The knock at the door came precisely at five in the morning. But I was ready, so I immediately opened the door for Jessica. There was only one person in my life who was brave – or possibly caffeinated – enough to show up at the crack of dawn with a baking tray under one arm and a smile that bordered on criminal. Jessica. My life saver. “Thank you for coming,” I said as I let her in and shut the door behind her. “You said you needed me, so here I am.
