CHAPTER 5

Half of the pack are celebrating Air's birth while the others are crying for the departure of Aiz who they considered as a vital member of their pack.

They also discovered that there are Imperial Knights of the Silver Wolf Brigade who are on standby at the border of their territory who prevent any trespassers entering. They discovered that it's Aiz's.

"You must tell us now who Aiz really is, alpha! He is an important part of us but his departure is still unclear until now," an elder who treasures Aiz demanded.

It's been two months since the Imperial Knights came and since Aiz left. No one still doesn't know what is the reason for it . That's why they are making a riot in front of the alpha's house.

The house Aiz left was taken over by Night. It is obvious why but no one raised a hand against it because the two are so close and Aiz's departure must be a big blow towards the young alpha who locked himself inside the house.

In that cue, Night arrived with Zane who was ordered to by Cayden. They are all in the wide living room of the Darkreed house. Elders and some youths who wanted to know the reason why Aiz left came. It is unstoppable that's why Cayden needed to limit it to the elders and some important figures who are close to Aiz, it included Melissa and Raylene.

"I will now tell you what is happening. Sixteen years ago, there was an uproar in the kingdom when the king Reynolds and queen Ysabella were assassinated by the adopted nephew after a heated argument in the court. No one actually knew the reason but when the king and queen firmly refused Blaze Hollows's will, he assassinated them himself. Leaving the only grand duke and crown prince alone. The little child at the age of five luckily escaped with the help of his nanny and her husband. The throne was usurped by the young tyrant while the one who was supposed to inherit it hid himself until sixteen years after, the place he was hiding in was about to be discovered by the usurper's people. The young crown prince who held the most power in the court and the purest bloodline alive decided to leave it and to protect it from the outside of the territory. He also did it to protect someone from inside of it whom he has treasured the most since he was six…"

"Don't tell me…" Night is shocked as he murmured these.

"Yes, my son. That person is none other than Aiz, Aloysius Ice Ziegfried," Cayden said, which made the people inside go into an uproar.

"But why didn't you tell me that?! He is my—"

"Please forgive me, young alpha but if you want to go with him now, his efforts to protect you are all for naught! Can't you understand how dangerous it is now for you?! Blaze Hollows is obsessed with his Highness and he is madly in love with him! When he learns about your existence, he will target you to break all his Highness's last hope and he will lose his sanity that will be favourable for that tyrant to obtain him!" Margaret, who was sitting in the corner, cried.

Everyone gasped when they heard Margaret. Even Zane and Cayden who aren't aware of it are also surprised.

"I who once became his nanny is the only one who knows the true argument between the deceased king and queen with Blaze Hollows. He wants to marry the crown prince, the sole heir for the reason is his undying love for him! The king and queen foresaw their deaths that's why they granted the prince the title of grand duke and crown prince to him. They also betrothed a mateless princess from another powerful grand duchy that is the maternal relatives of the prince to protect him. And when you, his vital weakness, step forward, it will be game over for him, do you understand? He is protecting you, young alpha! Please, help him too… help that poor child, he is… lonely and hurt," Margaret cried louder after letting everything out. Everyone seems to know now how heavy such a burden it is for Margaret to carry alone.

Zane started to coax his wife. He embraced her tightly and cried as well to think that such a burden was being carried by her for sixteen whole years.

Night who is still frozen and speechless watches Margaret as she is still weeping with extreme pain on his face. Who would have known that he is asking the wrong people and the only answer is Margaret who is with Aiz from the start? But who would also think that he is Aiz's weakness?

A conclusion came into Night's mind… he needed to be strong enough to stand by Aiz's side.

The palace is in uproar once again after the rebellion sixteen years ago. Not because of another rebellion but because after sixteen years, the long lost Crown Prince is now back.

Half of the elders find it unfavorable. Because one thing is for sure, the Crown Prince returned to take back the throne that is meant to him. And if that really happens, their greed will be cut off in the worst case scenario, permanently.

But half of the elders including the Cayden who is the representative of the Dark Moon Pack finds it a blessing because after the sixteen tyrannical years, the Crown Prince is back.

The elders of the palace are actually the alphas of the numerous packs. Some also send their betas as representatives whenever the alphas are absent.

Amongst the people who are inside the palace court, there is only one person who is ecstatic in the Crown Prince's return, it's Blaze Hollows, the fraternal adopted cousin of Aiz who rebelled sixteen years ago and murdered the late king and queen with his own hands.

Blaze, who has his eyes only on Aiz, almost gets mad when he discovers that Aiz was taken away. He searched for years to find him and now, Aiz made his reappearance once again.

"The Crown Prince and the Grand Duke Aloysius Ice Ziegfried are now entering!" He stood up with an ecstatic expression written all over his face when the announcement fell.

When the door opened, everyone gasped when a young man in his 20s entered with long silver hair and a pair of crimson red eyes. No one can deny it anymore, the man in front of them is none other than the Crown Prince of their kingdom.

Blaze watched as the little kid he once knew and played with is now walking with regality and elegance towards him.

"Greetings to you, my dearest cousin," Aiz greeted him.

It is clear that with his greeting, he does not acknowledge Blaze as the king but despite the other greedy elder's displeasure, Blaze only finds it more tempting and beautiful that makes his s****l desires turn on.

"It's been a while, Ice. No one can measure how ecstatic I am to learn of your safe return," Blaze who is now madly blushing in front of everyone responded while staring at Aiz while calling his second name.

"I can clearly see it, Blaze," Aiz responded sarcastically.

"How dare you call his majesty's name?!" An elder exclaimed.

Everyone turned silent. Aiz turned to the elder and glared at him. The elder who was named Raulo gasped and turned pale.

"Who allowed you to run your dirty mouth and point at my beloved cousin with that filthy finger?!" Blaze roared that made the elders turn pale as Raulo.

"P-please forgive me, your majesty… it's just that, that bastard is calling you by your name—"

"Who is the one you called a bastard in front of me?! And, how dare you point your fingers and call a royal member names?! Are you tired of living?" Blaze is furious, everyone knows that. And Raulo became a laughingstock now for crossing such a dangerous line.

"Everyone knows that the king is so sensitive when it comes to the crown prince but he still dared to use the crown prince as his steppingstone to kiss on his foot?"

"Yeah, how laughable he is. He has no shame at all."

"I pity the pack which he leads. Such a scum became their alpha."

Raulo trembled because of the humiliation. He secretly glared at Aiz, who responded by using an ice needle to pierce his eyes. Raulo screamed in pain and asked for help but those who knew his foolishness he repeated countless times and those who suffered from his tricks and arrogance just only glared at him while saying, "you deserve it".

"Please help me and have mercy on me, your majesty!" He cried while bathing with blood that was coming from one of his eyes.

Blaze only looked at him with contempt and then turned to Aiz with pure bliss in his eyes. "You did well, Ice. You did well."

At that moment, they finally realized the importance of Aiz and their weight against him in front of the king. They thought that another wave of changes was bound to happen.
