“Carlisle? Edward still won’t talk to me.” I moaned from the spare chair in Carlisle's office that I was laying upside down in randomly changing my hair colour. We had moved to London one of the gloomiest places I have ever seen. Carlisle says we must keep to cloudy places because the sun makes us visible to the humans and I had practised my gift every day and now I could change my hair colour, length and style as well as all my facial features and my skin tone. “Give him time Elizabeth he's probably still recovering from the shock of becoming a vampire,” “But I recovered ages ago.” I moaned “Why does he take so long?” Carlisle looked up from his work tiredly because of the amount of times we had had this conversation. “Everyone recovers in their own way Elizabeth.” “I know, I know it just gets boring around here all day when you’re gone and Edwards busy 'recovering'” “Why don’t you start school then? Walk around the streets? Go shopping?” he suggested kindly. “Because I’m scared I’m not ready. It only been four months, I’m not out of the new-born stage yet.” I whispered quietly. “I know but I have faith that you could do it Elizabeth.” “You have too much faith Carlisle.” I smiled at him and he chuckled, “I'm going to go hunting.” I stopped to kiss him on the cheek before running into the woods. ~~~~~~~~***~~~~~~~~
