The West Garside branch of the West Riding Bank is located on the north side of Sheffield Road, West Garside’s main street. It is adjacent to Woolworth’s on one side and Redmire’s general department store on the other. The offices above the bank premises were accessed by a door to the right and housed a solicitor, William J Ormroyd and Partners according to the name emblazoned in white paint upon the window overlooking the street.
