Truth Unveiled -CHAPTER 13

📄 CHAPTER 13 Before Liana could ask another question, Jaxson stepped forward, a faint smile playing on his lips. “It’s easier to show than to explain,” he said. He raised one hand, and without making any loud sound, the air around them began to shift. A soft breeze started to blow, growing stronger but never harsh, swirling gently around the clearing. Leaves lifted from the ground and danced in circles, moving exactly as he guided them. “I can feel the flow of air and command it,” he explained, letting the wind slow until it settled back into stillness. “Speed, strength, and movement — that is the power I was born with.” Next, Serena stepped forward. The light around her seemed to dim slightly, and the shadows beneath the trees stretched longer, growing darker and more defined. She lifted her hand, and one shadow rose from the ground, shaping itself into the form of a small, delicate bird made entirely of darkness. It fluttered gently for a moment before dissolving back into the shade. “Shadows are not just the absence of light,” she said quietly. “They hold form and memory. I can bend them, hide within them, or use them to see what cannot be seen in brightness.” Milo laughed softly, stepping between them. “And I get to make things a little brighter,” he said. He held out both palms, and small, warm points of light began to appear above them — glowing like tiny stars, floating gently through the air. They swirled around Liana for a moment, warm and harmless, before fading slowly away. “Light and illusion. I can create things that look real, though they hold no true weight. Useful for distracting, or just making the day a little less dark.”
