Punto Cero (Ground Zero)C arlos Ruiz-Romero had been a captive at Ground Zero—wherever that was—for what he believed was three days. His wristwatch was confiscated and never returned, but the barred window of his room faced east so he could get a general feel for time by watching the sun. He was fed and watered regularly, surprisingly good food always served on china and a teak tray. He was definitely detained and isolated, but there had been no torture, not even an interrogation session.
