Adrian was embarrassed at the time. He wanted to go to the hospital with the hostage after the ambulance arrived, but Liam said, "You are unable to leave. The mud on your shoes will soil the car."
Adrian was tempted to lash out when he heard this. He'd saved the hostage, but the doctor despised him.
When he said those words, his colleagues struggled to keep their laughter in check. Later, they frequently made fun of him about it.
Adrian didn't dare to linger. He informed Amber that he had another commitment and needed to leave first. He reminded her before leaving that if Lydia came to her again, she should refuse to meet her.
