Chapter 84 Though we couldn’t see them from inside, I imagined the flashing red and blue lights staining the night, the blaring sirens cutting through the city air. Word always travelled fast. Faster than fear, sometimes. By now, journalists would be gathering, their cameras trained on the building, hungry for headlines.
