Chapter 32 The air was thick with tension, and every step Nathan and I took toward the exit felt like walking into a storm that we couldn’t escape. We ran, hand in hand, our footsteps echoing off the polished marble floors of Jasper’s mansion. My breath came in sharp gasps, the adrenaline pounding in my ears louder than the thunder outside. I could see the door. Freedom, safety and hope were just a few more steps away. But before we could reach it, the door burst open.
