5.Mood Off

I woke up late than usual,my mind kept drifting back to my mother's talk previous night.Today the enthralling smell of those beautiful flowers in my balcony were also not capable of diverting my mind.I have only one right person to talk this with and I called her.

"Hey...whats up girl?call at this early morning". Sleepy voice of Harini mumbled at other end of the phone."I think I have to discuss something with you.I am hell confused since night."by my voice see realized something is off.

"Ok!do you want to share about it."by now her voice was clear and I hummed in response."Lets meet a our usual spot."after saying that she disconnected the call.

When I headed to the dinning table for breakfast my parents sensed that my mood was off.My dad and mom exchanged their looks in understanding.My brother was at school,but I clearly know that he is unaware of the fact that a complete change is going to happen in his sister's life.After my breakfast my father called from garden.

He was sitting on a long three seat wooden chair facing another similar seat wooden chair,both were separated by a wooden table between.To prevent the sun a strong roof was build in a hut model and four pillars supporting the roof and wooden flooring.And the place surrounded by ornamental plants and various colorful flowers completely giving a natural look.

He motioned me to sit beside him and I obeyed as he told."Is the topic of marriage is the reason for your mood off?"he looked at me searching in my face for any hint.I lowered my head not able tell him that his guess was right.I could find my voice and a lump formed in my throat.

From corner of my eyes I saw him thinking something deeply."Princess! What is bothering you?"he asked me concern lacing his voice by placing his hand on my shoulder.I slumped my shoulder down."Dad...this seems to be quick and I...am not ready for ...this."I told shuddering.Though it is not the complete truth but it is also a part of truth.

"I can understand princess.I know it is all of sudden.I feel this match is good for you.You know everything will not happen as planned.Right things happens at right time but unexpectedly and it is how destiny has planned.There is a reason for each and everything.Do you know something about me,Love and life partner was not in my list,all I had in my mind was not to depend on my father anymore and to follow my passion.But it happened anyhow,but to tell the truth my life had changed more beautiful than before after your mother."he said his eyes in distant.I think he is remembering his moments.

"Don't stress yourself princess.Your decision will always be final.All I want is your happiness.If you don't want then it will not happen."he told by patting my shoulder.He kissed my forehead and went inside the house.I sat there thinking his words in my head.And after few minutes I headed to meet my friend.
