PAUL SETS ALEX’S BAGS down in the entryway and continues on into the living room. Todd jumps down from the couch and trots over to Alex for a pet. Alex picks him up because he wants to keep holding on to things right now, even though since Todd is a cat this particular activity won’t last long.
“I think he missed you too,” Paul says as Todd nuzzles into Alex’s hand for an ear scratch.
“We haven’t been giving him the quality time he deserves,” Alex admits, as Todd jumps down again only to wind between his legs. One of the side effects of he and Paul sleeping in separate rooms has been both of them avoiding the shared areas of the house.
