WHEN ALEX FINALLY DOES get in, he yells from the front door that he’s home. The day has been exhausting and he doesn’t want to expend any more effort looking for Paul than he absolutely has to. “I’m up here!” His boyfriend’s voice comes from the loft after a delay that might have been him getting his headphones off but is probably just a lag in processing. Alex pulls on the railing as he climbs up the stairs to Paul’s office. When he gets there, he drapes himself over Paul’s back and buries his face in Paul’s shoulder. After a day spent way too tangled up with Liam, he wants Paul’s body and his attention and to not have to talk at all. “How was work?” Paul asks but doesn’t stop typing. Alex shrugs and loops his arms around Paul’s neck. “Fine. What are you working on?’ “Script edits.”
