29 Kira relayed the conversation with Ginette to Trevor as Nick drove to the closest McDonald’s drive-through. The day was wearing on, and they all needed something to eat if they were going to keep going. Kira’s stomach was still trying to process the energy bars she had forced down earlier. They sat like a lump inside of her, and yet her stomach still rumbled. With no sleep to sustain her, her body craved whatever other source of energy it could get its hands on.
