Kira watched as the gun swung from Trevor to Nick. The way Kurt was holding it up beside her from behind made her feel almost as if she were doing it herself.
“To be honest, I’m surprised you’ve kept this one around as long as you have.” Kurt twitched the gun back in Trevor’s direction.
“No,” Kira pleaded with him. “I’ll come with you. Just leave them alone.”
“That’s no longer an option.” There was a click as Kurt flipped off the safety on the gun.
“What would Nadine say?” Kira blurted. Uncle Russ had turned out to be a dead end, but maybe there was still some play left in Kurt’s first love.
