“Do you love me?” I fluttered my eyes open and looked up at him, the green in his eyes suddenly looking vulnerable. He watched me intently and a soft smiled tucked at my lips at the stupidity of his question. “Of course I love you”, I pressed my lips down in a short kiss on his chest before resting my head down on it again. His steady heartbeat vibrated softly against the side of my face, a complete feeling of peace washing over me. I loved him with everything I had and beyond, it was hard to even fully describe it. “Are you sure?” his voice sounded again and I pushed myself to sit up “Yes I’m sure, what a dumb question” “Are you calling me dumb misses Richard?” he raised a playful brow at me but my heart melted at what he had called me.
