I woke up the next morning feeling surprisingly rested. As I opened my eyes, I saw Adam beside me, looking much better than the previous night. A wave of anxiety washed over me, wondering if he would bring up the events from the party. However, to my surprise, his first question was about my hunger. I nodded, still cautious but intrigued by his sudden change in demeanor.
