Kael pov
When I arrived at the palace everyone was still at the blood moon ceremony
I quickly called for all my physicians to help me.
And as they came they took her to the werewolf hospital where she would be treated
I went back to the ceremony. When my beta Derek saw me he came to me
“Your Highness there are blood stains on you and they don't smell like yours. Please is there a problem”
Derek asked because he knows me one word from me can start a war
I looked at him
“My mate she just had an accident and I have taken her to the physicians”
He smiled
“That's great news, your Highness. Should I announce it to the people”
I held up my hand
“No just dismiss the ceremony and tell everyone to go home”
My beta looked surprised
“But your Highness this is the news the whole kingdom has been waiting to hear for years and finally the moon goddess has answered our prayers and has given us a Luna and you don't want to announce it”
I looked at him
“No. Remember I said she just got into an accident. If I announce it they would all want to see her and I can't present her to them In her current state and she is hu
man”
My beta’s eyes widen
“What a human. Wow your Highness that's extremely rare to have. Okay your Highness I would do as you have said”
He bows down to me and left
I went up to my chamber and closed the door behind me.
I sat on my bed as I started processing what just happened to me
I have finally found my mate. The woman I am destined to be with, the woman who would care for my little pups.
But she is human. Just a mere human.
How am I suppose to explain to her that she is my mate?
Must human mates usually try to run away from us werewolves because they are scared and terrified of our kind.
They think we are bloody killing monsters that would hurt them or kill them.
But that is not how we are. We are not what they think we are. The only thing that causes us to fight or attack is when we are under attack or the government is trying to use it for experience.
As I was lost in my thoughts someone knocked on my door
“Come in”
The door opened as one of the physician came in
She bowed down
“Your highness the human you brought in is responding to treatment but she has a serious injury on her leg and because she is human it would take a while to heal”
I didn't say anything I just waved my hand for her to leave
At least she is okay, just her leg that would take time to heal. That would not be a problem.
At this point I was confused on what to do when she woke up. How do I approach her?

THE NEXT DAY
I found it hard to sleep last night as my mind was just on my mate.
A lot of things were running through my head
When I dressed up to go for training this morning one of my physicians ran to me and told me that she had woken up.
I quickly went to see her
When I got to the hospital. I don't know why I became nervous like me. That's was strange. Was it because she was my mate?
I opened the door and our eyes met. She looked terrified as expected.
The pack physicians were with her. They were checking her up.
She looked better than yesterday.
I came to her bed she looked at me terrified
“Hi, I won't hurt you. You don't have to be afraid of me”
I said sitting on the edge of the bed
The physicians left the room
“Who…who are you what do you want from me”
She said in a voice full of fear
“Am kael what's your name. You don't have to be scared I won't hurt you as I said earlier”
She didn't look relaxed as I said that
“Who are you? Your eyes were glowing in the dark yesterday. What are you”
As she asked that question I was confused on whether to tell her that I am a werewolf or should I just tell her that she was just seeing things.
I didn't answer. I put my hand on her head gently and when I did her body shook a little. I could hear her heart beating fast.
“What's your name” I asked as I was eager to know her name
“Am aurora” she said still scared
I smiled as she said her name. Such a lovely name for a queen like her
“You need to rest. I would come and check up on you later”
I stood up
Then I dropped my phone charger beside her
Even though I was a werewolf and I can just mind link to my pack members, I still have a phone because I have a favourite game I love playing all the time
She looked relaxed when I dropped my charger the her bed
I left the room
I went straight to the training ground and when I arrived my beta was smiling at me. Hope he hasn't told anyone
“Sir you arrive late for the training is there an issue”
One of my men asked
“Not at all. I just have royal duties that needed to be taken care of”
He nodded as he didn't ask and further question
I started training. Hoping I would gather the courage to explain to her about myself and the pack. I might be a lycan king but this is my mate and I don't want to harsh to her
After training I was told that the pack council was seeking for my presence
I went to my meeting hall. When they saw me they all stood up and bow to me
And then I sat down and they did
“So what is reason for this meeting to be called for” I asked
One of them stood up
“Your highness it was called for because yesterday was the blood moon and you didn't pick a bride from any of the girls presented. You left at the middle of the ceremony and told your beta to end the ceremony. Please, what was the reason behind your action? Because we really want to know and we really want a Luna”
I let out a heavy breath I was confused on whether to tell them. That my mate has been found and she is human. That would shock them. And people who didn't want me to be the alpha in the first place would look for a way to use that to remove me from power.
Another of the council member stood up
“Your highness remember that you have limited time to find and provide us with a Luna. And your Highness time is running out. We need a Luna who would bear your heirs to secure your throne”
He said as he sat down
I looked at all of them then spoke
“Yesterday I didn't pick a Luna because I already have one and the ceremony was boring”
Their eyes widened as I said that. Some were smiling while some look disappointed
One stood up
“Your Highness, that is great news. Wonderful news. So your Highness who is the lucky wolf and why haven't you presented her to us yet. Should we start preparing for the coronation ceremony”
He asked as other nodded their heads
“Who she is confidential for now. The kingdom has been facing so many threats and I can't just present her when I know that there are a lot of people who never wanted me to be on this throne. So for now everything is private”
Some of them nodded there heads in agreement
One stood up
“That is a wise choice your highness. I am fully in support of that. You need to protect our Luna at all course"
They all said yes and started contributing to what he said.
“Well If that is the reason this meeting was called I hope I have answered you” I stood up and left to my chamber to rest from today's training
