Conversation With Dad

When Chase and I woke up my mom had left us breakfast in the oven again, Chase was her biggest fan, I'm glad they like each other. I stood at the kitchen window thinking about how the conversation might go between my dad and I later, u was so lost in thought I didn't hear Chase walk up behind me. He kissed my neck and hugged me from behind, " why so pensive my love, are you worried about your dad? " I nodded and leaned back on his chest, he always smells so damn good, " it'll be fine Carah, as soon as he knows you're not at fault he should hopefully correct his perception of this issue " I turned and wrapped my hands around his waist, standing on my tip toes to kiss him, he returns my kiss and deepens it. We break apart gasping for breath, " plus I'll be with you, I'm not letting you go into battle alone beautiful. You have me now for support and extra strength, you can always call on me ". God I love this man I can't believe it's only been 2 weeks, we eat our breakfast and get ready for work, as we leave and lock up I spot a black BMW parked next to the Land Rover. I looked at Chase confused, " why is another one of your cars here and where's my car, was my car stolen? " he chuckled " no I had your car put in storage in case you refused the gift and got angry with me ". I raised my eyebrows " gift what gift " he came over to me and held my hands, last night before we even went shopping I had a gift for you, then I gave it to you after we finished shopping. I rehashed memories of last night " after we finished you gave me the keys to the Land Rover and....... " I gasped " the Land Rover! The Land Rover is mine?! " " is that why you wouldn't take keys back? " he nodded and clasped my hands in his " please accept it, I dont want you driving to school in an unreliable car, it's quite a distance away and I'll go crazy if you have a breakdown or something along the way, please please Carah accept this from me ". My eyes get misty with unshed tears and I nod " I'll take it, but only because I know you're right, my car is old and probably would breakdown on the way " he sighed " good cause I had her reinforced and all the windows and windscreens are bullet proofed " he said while backing away " couldn't send it back if you didn't want it anyway "

" Chaaase you did what?!, he laughed and went into the bedroom, I followed him in and he grabbed me and tickled me until I begged him to stop. " Come on beautiful, let's go take a shower together and get ready for work, I'll come by after work and accompany you to your dad's place. I have some things he may be interested in seeing. " What things " he smirked " you'll see Carah...you'll see " I'm very curious about what Chase has to show my dad, but I trust him so I will wait and see as he asks. We finish getting ready for work and walk outside to our cars, I hug him, kiss him and we agree to meet up here and travel to my dad's house in the same car. He watches me pull off and waves before he gets in his car and gets on his way to work, I smile to myself and wonder how I got so lucky. When I pull up to work and park my new car, yes I can't believe I have a new car. I sigh and shake my head, this man is going to be the death of me, I understand he's rich but I'm used to being frugal. But I do love him and my new car.

Mrs Lu and I have a smooth uneventful day, the lunchtime rush wasn't too bad and we cleaned up and I made my way home. I text Chase

Me : " Hey love, I'm on my way home, how was your day "

Chase : " Hey beautiful, I hope you're not texting and driving, my day was hectic but ok "

Chase : " I missed you "

Me : " No I'm parked, I missed you too, can't wait to spend my weekend with you "

Chase : " Beautiful you have no idea what I have planned for us this weekend, prepare yourself "

Me : " Mr Lighten what are you up to now? "

Chase : " You'll have to wait till Friday night to find out "

Me : " Oh jeez, ok, I'll be on my way home, I have synchronized my phone and the car so you can call me and I'll answer hands free "

Chase : " I'm so happy you like the car Carah, it gives me peace of mind knowing you're in a safer vehicle "

Me : " Thank you again Chase I love it, it's my dream car "

He sends me a bunch of heart and kissing emojis, I chuckle and put the car in drive and make my way home to get ready for this one sided conversation I'm about to have with my father, his wife and their children. He never let's me tell my side of the story, the wretches and their mother are always right and I'm the one not trying hard enough to bond with my siblings, I roll my eyes and connect my phone to the car, letting my music flow through the car's speakers. I arrive home and ask mom if she needs help with anything before I leave for dad's place, she assures me she's fine and asks after Chase. I told her he's ok and should be on his way here soon, " I'm introducing him to the lion's den tonight " I say. Mom's eyebrows go sky high " oooooh to be a fly on the wall " she says " your sisters and their mother are going to act a fool " I sigh " I know, I'm not looking forward to it ". The doorbell rings and mom wipes her hands in her apron and opens it without looking " Chase, you're gonna need.... " I hear her pause so I come take a look at what he has done to render my mother speechless. Standing on my mom's front porch is my father and he is flanked by the devil's quartet. " Um dad what are you all doing here ", he clears his throat " good evening ladies, I mentioned to the girls that I was going to come here and talk to you instead and they volunteered to come along, to make it a family conversation of sorts " he said with a nervous look on his face. I shake my head, my mom is a gracious host but she is about to be tested today. She invites them in and they all walk in like they've entered the twilight zone, looking all over the place at once. " Hmph it's very uuuuhhh " homey " " yeah homey " says Carolann, my mom says " well, it is a home, have a seat anywhere ladies " she mutters under her breath as she passes by me " like outside in the street " I start to cough and walk over to dad as he sits at the head of the dining table. Mom goes back to cooking and I can't help but to notice dad's eyes keep straying over to her. He clears his throat again " so who's Chase, seems as thought your mom was expecting him to be at the door " I chuckle " Chase is my boyfriend daddy, he's actually on his way here right now. I'll check and see how far away he is " I get my phone out of my back pocket and text Chase.

Me: " hey handsome, how far away are you? "

Chase: " about 5 minutes away beautiful, miss me? "

Me: " of course, as soon as I left this morning I missed you "

Chase: " wow and I thought I had it bad, come meet me outside for some missed you kisses " I giggle

Me: " on thee way lover "

He seems to make you very happy, you haven't stopped smiling since you got on your phone " I blush and answer my dad " yes he does daddy, he amazing and I have you to thank for it, he's the guy that bid on my date at that auction you forced me to attend ". My dad shook his head, " well I guess I'll meet him when he comes inside, anyone making you this happy is ok by me " I kiss his cheek and go to meet Chase outside. I've got 1 hand on the front door to run outside and meet Chase, " running away from your punishment Caruuuuuh, you know daddy will always take our side " I roll my eyes and sigh " I'm just going to meet my boyfriend outside and come back " the chief demon aka my stepmother perks up " boyfriend?! There's no way you have a boyfriend while my three gorgeous daughters are single " I open the front door and walk straight into a brick wall, the wall is wearing a black, fitted Armani suit and smells delicious. " Uuummmm you smell absolutely sinful, what is that " I murmur, Chase chuckles " uh just me and my cologne " he shrugs. I wrap my hands around his waist, hugging him tightly " so my dad and the b***h brigade are here to have that talk " I whispered. Well we can talk after I've received my kisses lady, you promised me kisses outside " I giggled " not in front of my dad " Chase shrugged " I was promised kisses and I mean to collect " he put 2 fingers under my chin and pressed his lips to mine, he ran his tongue along my bottom lip, I opened my lips giving him access to my tongue, we deepened the kiss and I unintentionally moan. My dad steps forward and clears his throat, my sisters and their mother are standing there with their mouths agape and my mom is snickering. She walked over to the stove and brings a spoonful of her homemade pasta sauce for Chase to taste. " He tastes it and his eyes open wide " oh wow, that's delicious, you could sell that stuff " I hold his hand and lead him over to where my father is standing. " Dad this is my boyfriend Chase Lighten, Chase this is my father " my dad's eyes widen and he asked " as in SummerLight Holdings ?" Chase nodded " yessir that's me and my partner Drake Summers " my dad nodded " I've been trying to get a meeting with you for almost 2 years young man, are you really that busy ?" Chase smirked " I don't partner up with anyone but Drake sir, it's how we have stayed for lack of a better word pure " dad nods and says as a businessman he understands and its obviously working for them " I hold Chase's hand " what does he mean babe? " Dad turns to me " your boyfriend is a very rich man Carah " I chuckle " I'm aware of that daddy, I can't get him to stop wasting his hard earned money on me, I keep telling him he needs to save something for a rainy day but he never listens ". Dad looks at Chase and looks at me, " Carah young mister Lighten here has made all the money he is ever going to need and then some, he has made enough money to support generations of his children and their children and so on. Chase Lighten is the richest man in this city and the 3rd richest man on earth " I turn around and look at Chase " is this true " I ask him, " yes Carah I told you I was rich " I sighed " yes you did, more than once but I thought you were like regular businessman rich, it's why I've been asking you to save money " I giggle " well you sure were raised right and I know you're not after my money " he winked " just my hot body " I blush and slap his arm, " Oh my God my dad's here, stoppit ". My dad chuckled, well I'm happy if Carah is happy, now to address this situation with her and her sisters, who by the way are in some type of shock after finding out who Chase really was. " Carah why did you have your stepmom and sisters arrested, it hasn't come to that has it ?" I sighed and sat at the table, " daddy I.. I didn't, it wasn't me, the establishments they damaged while trying to assault me is who pressed charges against them not me, they think they can do whatever they want to whoever they want. wherever they want and your name and money is going to make them exempt from punishment. They need to understand there's consequences for their actions " dad looked at them " wait establishments, with an S and trying to assault Carah?! " I shook my head " they never give you the truth of the matter or the full story and you always charge in and blame me. When all I'm doing is trying to keep the peace daddy " I shout " I'm sick of it, one of my main reasons for going away to culinary school is to get away from the 4 of them! "

After I finished speaking Chase went back to his car and handed my dad a large envelope containing photos, my dad opened it and started to look at them, he had only got about 7 photos in when he slapped them down on the table and turned to my sisters. " I can't believe I've had the wool pulled over my eyes all this time, how long have you been doing this to her?! " I looked over at the table and saw pictures of my sisters and stepmom caught in the act of trying to assault me numerous times, I look over at Chase and he dropped his head " I'm sorry beautiful but if I had told you, you would've begged me not to do it, I have had a bodyguard and a photographer following you since that day I 1st saw them throw coffee over you, they have tried to assault you so many times, Jackson has been busy keeping them off you, I was pissed that you wouldn't press any charges and I wanted to protect you and gather evidence for an occassion such as this. I'm sorry Carah, forgive me " I walk over to him, held his face and kissed him....hard. " Imagine you standing here apologizing for protecting me, thank you baby, I love you " My dad stood up from his seat at the table " Carah I'm so sorry, I'd like to apologize for everything they have done and ask that you forgive me please " He looked back at his wife and daughters and huffed " I will deal with you four at home! ". I assure my dad everything is fine and that I'll come see him before I leave on Monday. They leave and I can hear my dad shouting at them about punishment and can't help but laugh. Mom comes out of the kitchen " dinner time kids, stuffed shells with my homemade sauce and roasted vegetables " Chase takes off his jacket, goes to the bathroom to wash up and takes a seat at the table like a kid on Christmas " ma'am do you know that I also own a food distribution company? How would you feel about seeing your sauce on supermarket shelves ?" Mom laughs I'd love that if it means I can retire early and be a boss lady, let's talk about that another time, eat up. Chase and I hold hands under the table, feed each other and stare into each other's eyes all during dinner. Mom cleared her throat " ok its time for my shows, I'm going to let you 2 have some alone time, put the leftovers on the fridge for me please Carah " I smile " ok mom love you goodnight " Chase also says goodnight and hugged mom, we do the dishes together, put the leftovers in the fridge, Chase asks if I'd like to watch some tv before bed. I tell him what I want to do before bed has nothing to do with the television, I tip toe go right next to his ear and whisper " bacon ". Chase drops the dishcloth he's holding and snatches me up in his arms and runs with a squealing me into my room. He puts me on the bed and starts stripping, " don't move a muscle, I'm going to worship you and your beautiful body the way you deserve " I sigh and lay back ready to let him do whatever he wants to me until the sun rises. I'm a happy happy girl folks.
