The match is over and we are the victories side. Chester wants nothing with us but the guys were in good team spirits as they shook our hands, passing their congratulations out to us despite the fact that their coach were humiliating them.
Damian is elated and talks enthusiastically in the locker room about the first actual match he’d played. The boys are all talking loudly about the moves they’d made and the score Bruce had made, forgetting that he had not made the pass to Marcus earlier. All is forgiven with that goal- football is like that. All is forgotten in victory.
