Ricky back home

AT DOLL'S HOUSE

As soon as I was home, my parents told me that they are going for shopping and were waiting for me. Once after they left, I decided to take a quick shower.

30 MINUES LATER
.
I was drying my hair, I heard a knock on the door. I knew it was my parents but my guess was wrong. It was Ricky. I opened the door for him and he just entered the hall ignoring me and went to his room slamming the door.
.
I yelled at him and asked him why he was back. But he just refused answer them.
I kept my ears on this door to listen to noises inside. I was kind off stalking my own brother.
.
I couldn't hear anything. Suddenly I felt the entire house so quite. I decided to peep through the key hole and bend to look in.

"Knock Knock"
.
That startled me and I quickly rushed to check who it was. It was my parents. I told them about Ricky's return. I could see happiness in their eyes even though they didn't show it. Dad knocked his door and asked him to come out and Ricky yelled back saying "please leave me alone".
I didn't know what had happened. But I wanted to console him. He is my brother afterall. I decided to give him his space for now and talk to him tomorrow. We all headed to our respective rooms to sleep.

NEXT DAY MORNING

"Knock Knock"

I heard a knock on my door and I quickly rolled out. I opened the door and it was Ricky.
I widened my eyes seeing him having a smile on his face. He gave me a cup of coffee that he was holding and then greeted me. I with loads of confusion greeted him back.

He has never made a coffee for me. He always had an angry face when he used to see me. I was in the school when I last remember his smile.

I held the cup and went to the hall. He was reading newspaper. I still don't understand what brought this change in him. I also started having doubts on what if he is acting.

I decided to have a talk with him and our dad intrupted us saying he is going out and he asked if Ricky would like to join. And you know what, Ricky said "Yes, I would love to dad"
Now I feel betrayed. They went out and I couldn't talk to him. I decided to do it as soon as he will be home.

RICKY'S POV

RICKY - Dad? I... I am sorry.
.
DAD - ummh! Well, I don't know what to say. I... You were a good boy till high school. Then you started having bad friends that completely ruined the good future you had .

RICKY - Yes, You were right. I really didn't have good friends. I couldn't complete my final degree too. I was cheated by my ex too. I was so frustrated and depressed that I thought drinking might make me feel better. I am not a drug addict dad, It's just that I thought it would reduce my pain. But I was wrong, It always made me remember my pasts more and more. I hated seeing Doll's success or happiness and that's why I made you both against her, but i failed it like always. I felt like I was the biggest looser in the world. I had a very big ego. And today I realize that all these years I was ruining me own life.

DAD - It's ok son. I knew you were a good person. We knew you would understand yourself one day.

RICKY - I am sorry dad. Please forgive me.

DAD - Awe, Yes son. I forgive you.

He asked Ricky about Doll's marriage and consoled him to accept Allen. Ricky finally did.

Both the Doll's family and Allen's family waited till they find a good job. Once they have a job, they decide to fulfill their promise. Meanwhile Ricky started a small restaurant besides their house. In weeks the restaurant was successful and Ricky started having lot of customers. He bought a new restaurant and in years the restaurant and Ricky were famous.
