Chapter 04: Holy Matrimony

That dream it plagues me again, but it has changed,the green is gone and the pillar of blue flames has began to whiten and grow. The flames radiated a mist of white that froze the entirety of the space with exception of the sky along with the countless weapons in this now frozen plain. With a thunder from the clouds signaling my time to awake.

"Huh..."

I had woken in a bed in what seemed to be a hospital bed. Mother was on my side and father in a chair asleep across my bed. Something was off my legs refused my orders to stand with only my torso obeying. With a breath a sharp pain was sent across my body. With scream I woke my parents and alerted the nurses.

As everyone rushed to my aid the pain only grew more aggressive, eventually I was stabilized and given significant painkillers that only allowed me to not cry but otherwise I was at war with my body once more. To what seemed like an eternity I laid in my bed watching my family fall apart, with no Vlad in sight I stayed for months until those became years. At this stage I was a few more breaths from being corpse, I was running out of time. It had been 6 months since I had seen my family and nearly 2 years since I had seen Vlad.

"I hope you're all okay"

"Cough "

My vision had began to fade along with various other senses my touch, smell all gone and now my vision would soon follow. It had been a hell of a nice life all things considered I was pretty satisfied although I would have loved to be a famous and strong man but I guess that's not up to me.

"No hsshhhshhh...Vlagsh... no"

What I can hear something I thought my hearing would be gone by now. I must focus on listening, just a little longer.

"Yo. ah...not tak..ng..imm"

"...ere is no ot..er way"

I could make out that it was Vlad and mother most likely.

Moments after I could feel my body being lifted.

'What was that it, am I...DIED'

I was back in the land of dreams where the surrounding seemed to have grown worse. Giant ice columns and spikes that reached for the sky. I looked down to realise my body was freezing and cracks followed the freezing of my body. It was then I looked up to the pillar of flames to see a reflection of a golden light that illuminated from behind my breaking body. As my body fell to it's knees I witnessed a golden flame that began forming a towering pillar. The pillar began to expel the frozen purgatory back to whence it came from restoring my body in the process. I stood up to find myself in the middle of a stand off between to flame pillars on my left an icy hell, on my right a warm green paradise illuminated by a brilliant golden pillar of flames. The weapons on my left had completely been frozen over and on my right they had became a gorgeous silver lined with gold.

"Arise my boy" an elegant soft female voice pulled me out of my slumber.

"ghhehhhh...!"

I had woken in a wheelchair in some sort of a cathedral besides me was a man in formal wear, he was exceptionally tall, gray hair.

"So you live my son" that female voice was coming from a woman in a throne, her very skin emitted a holy light, her beauty was unmatched, her blond hair, golden eyes and a white dress that wished for a bit more coverage. She had come down from her throne and started walking towards me.

"Cough... my apologies I think am lost, I don't want any trouble"

She continued to walk as she closed in my fight of flight reaction had been flight but the aura she had would not allow me to even budge.

"Do not be afraid and you are not lost " she spoke gently as she smiled.

"This is a misunderstanding am supposed to be in a hospital? "

"Lucial you are to be mine, your parents have given you to me, so you could live...as my new angel of war " she spoke in a tone that demanded your attention and there would be no negotiations although her voice felt genuinely gentle.

And so it was explained that I was adopted by the queen priestess of the kingdom of Celeria. My parents had ran out of choices and time I wa dying than Queen Celeria had contacted my parents to offer a deal. She would take me and heal me in return she would have me as her price. She reached out her hands and cradled my head.

"Do not worry for you are free from all the pain" she said into my ears as she pointed out the butler.

"But why me, what made you pick me" I asked trying to not sound ungrateful because no matter how things looked she saved my life I owe it to her I still breath.

"If you would look at my eyes you would find them weird but they allow me to see people's souls...well atleast the emotions, Hopes and nightmares with these very eyes " she said as I looked to see her eyes they were of a golden white color and her irises were of a c star-like shape.

"What...and...uhm what did you see in me"

"A brilliant soul, one of many colors and each more beautiful than the last but no one is truly pure but you, your far from pure although I have seen a babies soul and it's pure, I have never encountered a soul that facilitated so many colors I had to have for myself " she explained she brought her forehead on mine and whispered.

"Your mine now " with a smile she said.

I was now owned by the most powerful woman on the planet. Our talk went on to what exactly I was to do and she said "

in order to bring you back from near death I shared my soul core with yours " and I was going to be one of the saints of Eos that protect the kingdom and her majesty the Queen Priestess. She called the butler to come and take me to my new room.

"This is Sebastian he will be at your service from this day onwards" she introduced him and I was lead out the throne looked like an oversized cathedral with various guards standing on both sides of the room. The door was massive, it was opened by two armored giants. Opening to a fall of at least 78+ meters and a bridge-like corridor that connected the throne room to a skyscraper of a castle. The throne seemed to be built inside a mountain.

I arrived in huge room with a bed 3 times mine back home.

"Well sir have a goodnight you will awake early tomorrow for your training " Seb quickly pointed out

"Uhm...Sebastian when will I get to see my parents again" I asked.

"Sorry sir I don't possess such information "

"Thank you anyway and goodnight Seb"
