Nicolas POV

Luckily I was close to the hotel when I got a call from Lana, and she was crying for help, her screams brought pings of pain to my chest.

She was begging someone called Jake, but that bastard was forcing himself on her. I kept calling out to her, but all I could hear was her cries. Long stopped the car in front of the hotel and I pressed all the lift buttons so I could catch this bastard who dared touch Lana, Long was standing behind me, his face was calm as ever, but I knew deep down he was ready to drill a hole in that bastard’s head.

As soon as the lift in front of me opened, my eyes fell on Lana, she was in one corner of the lift, pushing Jake away with all her strength, but due to her weak body, she couldn’t, she was just screaming for help. He opened his mouth to take a bite out of her when my rage took over. I don’t know what came around me, and the next thing I knew was, I was holding this bustard by the neck, closing her airway. He was turning blue, but Long tapped on my shoulder and pointed at Lana, she was on the floor, I threw Jake on the side of the lift and picked up my little love.

She was shaking in my arms. Begging me not to let her go. I just wanted to hold her so tight and not let anyone near her.

I took her back to my room and asked Long to lock Jake in the dungeons, I will deal with him once I make sure Lana is well.

I bought Lana back and cleaned her body, I didn’t want a trace of that i***t essence on her body. After he changed and came out, I got the chef to send some nutritious food up immediately and he did.

“You will be staying here from now on”, I said as he picked up her fork and knife.

She looked at me all confused, her eyes still swollen.

She was about to say something when I cut her off.

“I don’t think it is safe to stay there anymore, I have a spare room here, you can stay there until it is time for your return”, I said as I poured some soup into a bowl and placed it in front of her.

“But I”, she said, but I cut her off again.

“If you are not comfortable then I will leave and you can stay here alone”, I said as I picked up a spoon, scooped up some soup, and held it next to her mouth.

“Drink this, it has a lot of nutrition”, I said, and her poor face turned into a ball of confusion.

But she didn’t say anything, instead, she gently opened her mouth and drank the soup,

Seeing that she wasn’t eating, I changed my seat and went next to her. I took her fork and knife and started cutting a small piece of steak and feeding her.

She didn’t argue throughout the whole dinner, she just ate from my hand silently as she stared into my eyes, searching for something.

As soon as we finished, I picked her up again bridal style and took her back into my room, and gently placed her on the bed, with the quilt on top of her.

“Um, where will you stay if I sleep in our bed?”, she finally voiced out.

I smiled at her and seat down next to her.

“I can sleep in the next room, but if you don’t feel comfortable then I can leave?”, I said as I put a strand of her hair behind her ears.

She smiled at me shyly and put her head down.

“You can stay in the other room, I will be fine”, she said as she looked back up to meet my eyes.

I nodded and tucked her in bed before I closed the light and walked out.

Just as walked out of the room, I called Long.

“Where is that bastard?”, I said as soon as Long answered the phone.

“I have brought him to the dungeons, but I am not sure how long we can keep him here since he isn’t from here”, Long said.

“I don’t care, beat him up so he will never go near her”, I said and hung up.

I went into the other guest room and started doing work, few hours passed, when I heard screaming again.

It was coming from Lana's room. I threw my laptop and ran as fast as I could to her room, only to find her screaming in her sleep.

“Please don’t hit me, Please I will be quiet”.

“Please don’t hit my mother”.

“Please, it hurts don’t please”.

She kept crying for help, I don’t know what horror she’s gone through, but it didn’t look pleasant.

I climbed up the bed and pulled her in my arms, she started fighting me in her sleep.

Asking me not to hurt her, but I held her tightly and tried to wake her up.

“Hey, it’s just a bad nightmare, no one will hurt you”, I whispered in her ears.

I rocked her back and forth. I wonder who has her shaken to this point.

After crying for a little longer, she finally fell asleep in my arms.

I lifted the quilt and put her back under It. I stayed by her side, awake until the sun started rising.

I didn’t want her to know that I was in the room with her, so, I quickly left her room and headed back to my room.

I laid in bed, thinking about her, and soon drifted off to sleep.

3 hours later….

I was woken up by a delicious smell. I looked at the time and it was 9 am, I must’ve overslept. I got out of bed and went into the shower, after a while I came out of the shower naked when I saw Lana standing right in front of me in my room.
