THIRD PERSON’S POV:
“My pet died.”
“My child’s tooth is broken!”
“I have plumbing issues.”
“Traffic is getting out of hand!”
The complaints in the pack keep piling up, getting too much for everyone, including the Alpha, who is supposed to be the last resort as he pays people to maintain the pack. This leads to an emergency council meeting, which means Levi and Kookie meet after three days since she packed up her stuff. He had sworn to avoid her, making sure to call his mother before visiting her to ensure Kookie was not around. Today, he cannot avoid seeing her as she is a part of the council.
Council members sit at a round table, waiting on Kookie, who is yet to arrive.
“Elder Kookie is not here. Do we begin, Alpha?” Lionel asks, and Levi doesn’t hesitate to speak.
