My blood runs cold as I turn around to see Elias walking up to us. What is he doing, claiming to be the father of Blue? That is crazy. Does he even know what he is attempting to do? My parents will kill him when they find out Levi is the father, but what if they never know?
Elias steps forward, snaking an arm around my waist and pulling me toward him. This man will really do anything for me. He probably thinks I am in danger, and he did not even give it a second thought before jumping in to save me, disregarding the consequences. I swallow hard, glancing between my parents and him before finally clearing my throat to ease the tension.
