Kookie: Hearing my actual name leaves me in shock for a moment. My eyes catch Elias’s, and I can see the twist of confusion on his face. Then I find Levi’s eyes as he is wheeled toward me. This has his writing all over it. I can almost swear he is hiding a smirk. He might think he has won, but this is far from over. When he gets close, I step forward as instructed, then the elder hands him the tablet. Levi stands slowly, handing the tablet to me. As my hands grip the side of the smooth, stony texture, I hold my gaze on him for a moment, but he remains unfazed. “With the power vested in me as a vessel of the goddess, I welcome you into the council, and I hope you serve the pack justly until the goddess calls you home.” The crowd erupts in applause as he says this, but I am nothing close
