Valeria banged on the door repeatedly as soon as she arrived at her mother's house, desperately needing to use the bathroom. The urge had been building throughout the taxi ride. She paced back and forth, dragging her suitcase, anxiously waiting for Heloise to open the door. She didn't know how much longer she could hold it.
She knocked again, more urgently.
"That's it!" she heard her mother's voice call out as she approached the door.
When Heloise finally opened it, Valeria dropped her suitcase and almost ran to the bathroom, feeling immense relief once she succeeded.
While Valeria was in the bathroom, Heloise was just picking up her daughter's suitcase when Emma and Elena appeared at the door.
