Shame.
After hearing some strange sounds and thinking he heard Valeria's voice, he decided to go outside to see what was happening. He feared he might be mistaken, hoping it was true, but when Alaric entered the office, he realized he should have gone out earlier to investigate.
He pried Tobias Rashford's hands off Valeria and shoved him hard, causing him to lose balance, hit his head, and fall to the ground.
Valeria's hands trembled as she took cover behind Alaric.
"Help," she pleaded softly, as if still necessary.
Alaric approached Tobias slowly, crouching beside him. There was no blood, but Tobias was unconscious.
"Go to your office. I'll call an ambulance."
"It's my fault, I... I will tell them I did it."
