Chapter 7 You Are Breaking the Promise

Tina looked back at him in disbelief and said, "I've given you my house, but you want to go back on your words?"
"You are too rebellious and ungrateful! How dare you bargain for conditions with me? You and he are both my children. I can do whatever I want! I don't need you to tell me what to do!" Mark shouted to the servants, "Why are you standing still? Snatch that piece of paper over! Be quick!"
The two servants immediately ran over to grab the paper in her hand. Tina knew that she was no match for them because she was alone. Therefore, she rushed to the door before it was closed.
Suddenly, a man came over. Before she could see who he was, she bumped into him, and the servants caught up with her.
When they were about to snatch the paper from her hand, the man suddenly yelled, "Stop!"
When Tina heard the voice, she raised her head with red eyes because it was Arthur.
She hadn't expected him to come over!
"Uncle Mark, what are you doing? Tina is your daughter!"
Seeing him defending Tina, Jessica was upset and hurriedly said, "Arthur, did you forget what happened last night? She cheated on you. My dad is teaching her a lesson for the Knights!"
Tina flew into a rage and immediately retorted, "I told you I had nothing to do with that man! Why did you go to the hotel last night?"
"I..."
"Tina, you know I have just returned to Westsville, so I'm not familiar with the city. I didn't know how to go to the address you sent me, so I called and asked Jessica, and then, she led me to the hotel in person. I didn't expect to see you..." Arthur stopped speaking with a sad face.
Seeing her expression, Tina explained, "What you saw last night was an accident. I was waiting for you."
Jessica snorted, "An accident? I think it was premeditated, but you were accidentally caught red-handed. You and Arthur had a long-distance relationship for many years, and he just returned this year. Maybe you have long cheated on him and dated that man."
"Nonsense! You're promiscuous and habitually cheat on your boyfriends! Stop slandering me."
Jessica had always enjoyed the feeling of being surrounded by men, so she liked dating many men at the same time, and she had the ability to make them unaware of each other's existence. Moreover, she had always pretended to be a well-behaved girl in front of her parents, so she was driven crazy when hearing Tina's words!

Her tricks worked on Mark very well. He immediately frowned, glared at Tina, pointed at her fiercely, and said, "You're stubborn and shameless! Apologize to Jessica right away!"
Tina looked at her father, feeling distressed as if arrows were piercing her heart.
She had thought she would not feel pain anymore after being hurt a lot, but she still felt quite uncomfortable now.
She laughed angrily, "I will never apologize to a pig!"
"Are you asking for a s***k?" Mark widened his eyes in anger, ran over, and raised his hand to hit her. Seeing this, Arthur protected her behind him and said, "Uncle Mark, Tina and I are engaged, so she is my fiancé now. It is inappropriate for you to hit her in front of me."
Mark's face stiffened, and then he slowly put down his hand and said earnestly, "Arthur, my action is indeed thoughtless. I am sorry that this wicked girl has caused such trouble for you. If you want to beat or scold her, I will support you. Can you please not cancel the engagement?"

Arthur took a deep breath and said with a serious face, "This matter is not as serious as you think. Tina and I have dated for so many years, and we still have feelings for each other. I said I would cancel the engagement in a fit of anger yesterday. Now I retract my words. Please don't take it seriously."

After they got into the car, Tina suddenly shook his hand off. Arthur was stunned. Didn't he behave well enough just now?
