Discovery of the murder.  The next morning everything is quiet and no one knows about the incident. Govardhan kaka is the first one to wake up among all the servants. He has a habit of going for an early morning walk in the neighborhood. He likes to listen to the mesmerizing chirping of the birds which sounds like a melodious song sing by the birds in the early morning.  When he returns from his morning walk he sees the door of the house being open draws his attention. He remembers it being open when he is going to the walk. It looks quite mysterious to him as it is too early for anyone to enter the house. Apart from this, he can not find the security guard anywhere near which increases his suspicion to a greater extent as he knows him for sometimes and it has never happened he has left the gates for such a long time, as he has not seen him since he has roused from bed. So he decides to enter the house. When he enters the house one of his legs gets stuck in something and he is about to fall, but he somehow maintains his balance. When Govardhan kaka looks down he gets amazed as he finds the security guard lying unconscious on the ground. He immediately calls for help and the other servants rushed to the spot as quickly as they can. They make the guard sit on the sofa and spread water in his face to bring his conscience back. None of them notice Mr. Singhania's corpse as they all are busy with the guard and Mr. Singhania's corpse is lying in the great hall. When the security guard gets his sense back he does not say anything but points towards the great hall. When the servants look towards the hall they see a body of a person lying on the floor with his face facing downward. They can not first recognize the body as it is a little dark in the area. When one of them puts on the lights and goes towards the corpse to examine who is the person and if he is senseless or has died? When they see it is Mr. Singhania's corpse they all become nervous and decides to call the Mistress Mrs. Singhania and Jignesh before touching the corps. So one of the servants goes upstairs to call the housemates. Mrs. Singhania has just risen from the bed. She does not know anything about the previous night as she has taken medicine for her headache and therefore, she was having a deep sleep last night. She is just going to start her meditation when she heard the knocking on the door. When she opened the door she finds a servant standing outside and has lost his breath which shows he has come in a hurry. Then he knocks the room of Jignesh who is still sleeping as he was tired from the journey of the previous day. It takes him sometimes to open the door and till then Mrs. Singhania asks him what is the matter and why is he in such a hurry? The servant does not tell her anything and just says to wait till Jignesh opens the door. After Jignesh comes out of his room the servant requests both of them to come down with him at once. They realize that something wrong has happened downstairs, which can be seen in the servant‘s face which has turned pale with fear. When they come down they see everyone is surrounding the entrance to the hall and one of the security guards is lying on the sofa. When they come near the entrance of the hall they see the corpse of Mr. Singhania lying still on the floor surrounded by blood. By seeing this scene, Mrs. Singhania is about to faint but she controls herself. She then goes ahead to check if he is alive or not. When she catches his hand she finds it too cold and she can find no pulse who proves that Mr. Mahesh Singhania is dead. She can not believe what has just happened and she does not know what to do. She goes out of the hall and goes back to her room to spend some time alone. Dr. Nita Singhania now felt that everything is has been taken away from her. Her entire family, her husband, and her children. She felt the world has turned upside down. She has no more reason to live in this world. But then she realized that she must find the person who has done her so much harm and have stolen from her everything she loves and her life. But she can hear her inner self asking her not to break down so easily. She must find the culprit and wants to know why that person has done this to her, and what is her fault? After thinking about such things she gets her courage back and decides to find the ultimate culprit, who has done her so much of harm in life. She then goes downstairs where everyone is present i.e. Servants along with Jignesh. She goes down to the living room and says that she wants a proper investigation of the incident and says she has called the police to arrive at the location and no one shall touch the body. The police arrive at the location of the murder nearly around the afternoon. First, they take several photographs of the spot where the murder has happened. They properly examine the hall and search for any clues which can help them find the murderer. Then, they examine the corpse of Mr. Singhania and how he is killed murdered. They find the wound in his body is caused by something with sharp edges and is somewhat like a sword. Then they decide to send the corpse of Mr. Singhania for forensic tests to know more about the details of the murder. Thereupon, after sending the body door forensic test they decide to search for the murder weapon in and around the house. But the weapon is found nowhere in or around the house. The officer then decides to talk to the servants who have first seen the corpse of Mr. Singhania. First, they start with the chief manager of the household work Govardhan Ahuja i.e. Govardhan Kaka. They asked him to tell them what he has seen in the morning and the White details of the incident. He begins “I was the first to wake up among all the housemates as I had a habit of early morning walk. When I went out for a walk saw the security guard was not in the gate. I thought he had gone for a walk or have gone to the servant quarter to get refreshed. But when I returned from my morning walk nearly after an hour, I found that the guard was still not there. This looks quite mysterious to me as it had never happened before, that he had left his duty and the gate unwatched for such a long time. Then I found the door of the house is widely opened which drew my attention. I did not notice the door when I was going for a walk as it was situated on the opposite side of the entrance to the campus. When I went inside the house I saw the security guard was lying unconscious on the ground “ After these, the officers present there asks about the security guard who is the only person who knows about what has happened in the previous night. So, they call for the guard who is having rest in the servant quarter and he is still not able to forget the incident about the last night and is so much frightened that he can barely walk. Two of his fellow colleagues bring him to the living room and make him sit on one of the sofas. The officer tells him, to relax and tell them what he has seen last night. The security guard begins his part of the incident. “When I was in duty the previous night it was raining heavily with thunderstorms. It was nearly at 1:30 at midnight when I saw the light of the living room was flickering. First I thought it was a technical issue and so I ignored it. Then after sometimes the light again started flickering so I decided to go inside and see what was happening inside the house. When I entered the house I saw two yellow color eyes looking at me which almost scared the hell out of me. Then I realized that it was nothing more than a cat. It was too dark inside the house and no more flickering of light could be seen when I had entered the room. After spending a few moments in the house when I was about to come out I see a white fog was filling the hall where the statue was present.” While he is speaking these words he gets so much scared that he again gets unconscious. Mrs. Singhania immediately comes to the spot and starts examining the security guard. She checks his pulse rate and sees it has gone drastically high and recognize the reason for the unconsciousness is due to his high pulse rate caused by the excessive fear of something. After some time the guard gets back his conscience and after relaxing a bit he again starts speaking. “When I saw towards the hall and see where the fog is coming from I saw a portrait of a person coming from the fog. It was the portrait of the statute which was present in the hall. He was riding a horse and was holding a sword in his hand. When I saw the portrait it started approaching me and I could hear his fearful battle cry. Then I realized that the man riding the horse had come too close to me and was about to kill me with his sword. After this, I don’t remember anything else, I only remember that I was sitting on the sofa in the morning surrounded by my colleagues.” He also adds, “I think that Mr. Singhania is killed by that portrait of the statute of the soldier present in the hall. He has not been killed by any person but Mr. Singhania is killed by a spirit.” When he is uttering these words his face turns pale with fear and he starts a bit of panicking. Mrs. Singhania gives the guard a medicine so that he can have a proper sleep which is very necessary for him in this condition. No one believes the guard to a great extent and thought he was telling lie or had just seen an illusion as the weather was a little frightening the previous night. The police officers decide to take a look at the statute. They take the sword and examine it. It almost looks like the same one which might have used for killing Mr. Singhania but it is not possible as the sword is just for showcase and is made of plastic. They find no other things or clues in the house that can help them in the investigation. So they left the bungalow and goes back to the district of Shimla and wait for the forensic report and the shape of the murder weapon which the forensic experts can only help.
