If Josh wanted my attention by saying that, he surely won. I could ignore his pleas for us to get back together and his complaints about how I probably fell out of love with him because I fell for another man, but I could not ignore this.
It was the truth but it was a truth that could not get out.
“Why would he say that? When was my dad looking at you?” I had just wrapped a towel around my body and Celine had been pestering me since I turned my phone off.
“He doesn’t like him. You know how your father is. He saw Josh reaching for my butt when he came to pick me up and it made him disapprove even more.” That was not exactly a lie. I have always had this feeling in the back of my mind that Anthony does not like Josh since I introduced him to my mother and he saw him.
