Two: It should be sweet relief, but it isn't > >> I shoved the rest of my sandwich into my mouth as my mum slammed the counter top over and over to hurry me. I couldn't believe this. I could not lie my way into staying home today, this was absolutely unbelievable! "I'm leaving!" I tried to say with my mouth full of the egg, ham and cheese sandwich my mum made for me every morning whenever she was around. It was rare, meaning I rarely got to see Destiny as well because she left with her. Whenever mum could be around was always such an amazing time. "Here! Josh has been waiting forever now. Here's his breakfast!" My mum had my backpack in one hand and a packed meal in the other. I stared at the lunch box for a few seconds before I smiled sheepishly and grabbed it. Josh... Right! Right... I have a f*****g boyfriend, that's what made what I did even worse! "Bye mum. I will call you if I get sick again!" I said to her as I waved goodbye in front of the door and she just shook her head at me. "I won't pick up so don't bother!" She responded and I sighed in disbelief before I stepped out and saw Josh's car. Wow! It felt like it had been ages since I saw his car, even though he picked all of us up for school Monday to Friday. Celine, James, Josh and I had been riding together since Josh and I began dating. James is Celine's boyfriend that she tries as hard as possible to hide from her dad. I mean, Anthony Miller is the sexiest man I have ever laid my eyes on, but he is also the most intimidating so I have always understood why Celine wanted to keep the relationship a secret. He is and has always been very overprotective over Celine so I doubt James would live if he knew what he had been up to with Celine. "Finally!" Josh stepped out of the car and opened the passenger door of his black sedan for me to enter. I smiled softly at him and pretended I did not see his lips pouting at me like he wants to kiss me. As expected, he did not let me get away with it. He grabbed me forced one kiss on me. "Sorry, I feel nauseous still. I don't want to hurl into your mouth." I said to him before giving him one lousy peck and getting into the car. "You'll be fine, baby! As long as you doubled checked. You double checked, right?" He asked me desperately as soon as he sat down and strapped his seat belt on and did mine next. "I'm not pregnant, Josh!" I rolled my eyes at him and he smiled widely, showing off his abnormally white and straight teeth. It was always hard to believe that he had never whitened them or wore braces. Lucky genes I guess. I had to go through an embarrassing stage of wearing braces and glasses, looking like a complete ugly nerd. Perhaps Anthony still remembered that all too well, and me getting ridiculously hot when puberty hit me could not make him forget. Oh, thinking about why he didn't look at me like a woman made up at least sixty five percent of my day. I blamed it on my age before I turned eighteen, and now that I am eighteen, I mostly blame it on me still being in high school. Fuck, I could not wait to graduate! "Here's your breakfast." I gave him the packed breakfast that always looked so decent compared to mine. He opened the lid slightly before he smiled widely again. "I don't know what I'm doing right, but clearly my mother in law loves me!" He boasted and before he got carried away, I grabbed the lunch box from his hand and put it away behind us. "Drive!" I demanded and he nodded his head before mumbling "Yes, madam!" and starting the car. My brows immediately furrowed when we reached Celine's house and saw her holding hands With James. This never happened. We always picked up James after we picked her up because she never wanted Anthony to see him. This was strange. "What the f**k is happening?" I asked her as soon as they got into the car and the smile on her face immediately told me that something had to be different. "Oh, my dad is not here today. He will be returning on Sunday, so we have three nights to ourselves!" She beamed and my heart immediately sank. I should have been relieved, but why was I sad instead? "Where did he go?" I asked her and once she finished hee smooch session with James, she finally responded. "Oh, he is hosting a workshop, nothing too major. He will not be there for the entire week of the workshop but he has to make sure that everything runs smoothly." "Ohh.. Okay." I slowly turned to face the front again and nibbled on my lips. I was safe for three more days.. Okay! Looks like I would only have to worry about him on Monday, that wasn't too bad, right? "Before I forget. Here are your invites. I'm not letting every single b***h walk into my party this time around. I almost died last time because they were throwing themselves at me!" James said as he handed out his birthday party invitations. My name was written in cursive at the bottom and I nearly shriveled the paper up when I thought of being drunk again. The reason I got drunk on that day, that day that still haunted me, was only because it was Celine's birthday and she was wild and away from home. Whenever she wanted to get drunk, she always dragged me down with her. I had to stay away from alcohol for a while after what happened. I was yet to deal with the consequences, so there was no way I was getting drunk on Saturday before I find out what the consequences are. "That was not last year, that was two years ago, and you're right, you almost died that night!" Celine argued in the back and made me remember something that always felt so hard to grasp. Her and James, Josh and I, we got together at fifteen. It was going to be our three year anniversary soon and to be honest, I had no idea how Josh and I had lasted this long other than the fact that he was actually a good boyfriend and a good friend to me. It was like a scene from a movie when the two most popular, most crushed on, most handsome and hottest boys in school, who also happened to be best friends asked us out during a school dance. Everyone was watching, and Celine had been dreaming about it happening for months before it did. That was not the reason I agreed though, Brittany was! That b***h that Anthony dated for close to a year pushed me into the arms and bed of another man... Wait.. Boy. "We are all having a sleepover at my house today!" Celine shouted excitedly and I just cheered along despite wanting to disagree so badly.
